Edit: My car is a DD as well; however, I have springs, CA, struts, etc. I figured it was the real missing piece to complete and compliment the suspension mods. Some people prefer sound systems to enjoy the drive, I personally have always been obsessed with suspension and making the car as responsive and allowing as much feedback possible. I, too was on the fence. I tried to order those exact Powerflex bushings, but at the time, everything I trusted as a vendor were sold out. That was my 'sign' to go with the solid bushings. I took it as a message from the car gods.

Haha, no problem. I think you're going to find driving much more enjoyable and the mechanic road to car to driver feedback is amazing.

As a matter of fact, I'm part of the TN Motorsports FB group (random friends of friends invited me) and I actually want to make a jog up there to meet some of those guys. They all seem like a great group. Are you by chance in that group?

None of my previous cars had rubber subframe bushings, so when I got this car I immediately felt the loose rear end (that's what she said). There was no NVH added with the solid subframe bushings, NVH increase was mainly from the M3 control arms, diff bushings, and Ohlins coilovers. Though I wouldn't say that it is bad, it is still a very comfortable car. My previous car was a 350z with complete urethane bushing swap on all suspension pieces. Pretty harsh. If anyone is in the West LA area and wants a ride, I'd be more than happy.

Are the powerflex and other brand poly bushings so stiff that you might as well get an aluminum set of solid bushings. They're a non-wearable bushing, no squeaking, no greasing.
Seems like the better choice.. Please explain to me what was necessary to install these that make them tough for a diy'er? I have a press and can remove the whole subframe completely to get it done, one time, the right way. Solid. Then adjust nvh with other suspension components/bushings. Like rear control arms, especially also diff bushings. Def dont go solid and solid unless its a full out race/track car i would assume |

I got 2.5 of the 4 diff bushings in before I broke the first bushing pull & press tool. I ordered two more tools which are to arrive tomorrow. To confirm, its normal to break 1-2 bushing tools trying to put in the Turner aluminum subframe bushings?
