There is mention of the pitfalls in the Sticky: "How to buy a used E9x"

Please don't waste time in the main forum; everything is well-covered in the diesel forum and in the Sticky post.

Personally, I love my 335d, but I just spent $2800 on a new throttle and glow plugs (at 137K miles.) Remember, these cars (and most E9x) are now 10 year old cars.

A fully deleted and tuned 335d is probably one of the best sleeper cars there is. 380whp/606ftlbs and 40MPGs, lol. Nothing comes close to that combo.

Join the North American BMW Diesels Owners group on Facebook, lots of info.
