The way I am tracking on my lease the car will be worth more than my residual. If you are the same way, just buy it at the end to keep from paying for minor issues. Then you can sell it for more than it is worth...

Be sure to "Put your Foot Down" fellas... Holy crap, what the hell kind of women did you marry that gives you the impression that you can "tell them how things are." Christ, find a women with some intelligence, an education, and some self respect and you won't be having these issues... But then, you wouldn't want a women thinking for herself cause you wouldn't be able to lord over them and "keep them in place"...

Pathetic, hopefully most of you are typing this drivel from your Bedrooms at Mom and Dad's house and it's so alarmingly ignorant and wrong because you're simply speaking hypothetically about things you know nothing about...
Dude. Put down the Cosmo & turn off the Oprah. Did you get lost on your way to the Lexus forum?

If you think expecting your wife to respect your wishes about how she treats a car you're paying for is being a caveman, I don't even want to know what the hell kind of relationship you're in.

My guess is most of us here try to respect the wishes of our significant others, & only expect the same in return..

To those advocating violence against the kid as a means of discipline -- no doubt you don't have children. Hitting them doesn't work.

Try Googling. "Ketchup on carpet" brought up some good suggestions for cleaning. If those don't work, I've found that carpet cleaner gets out all kinds of crap. Pro detailers use steam vacs. I'm sure that would work, if there's a detailer near you. As a last resort, you can buy new mats before you return the car. They aren't expensive.
It worked until the stick broke on my butt. Then they used hands but their hands started to bruise.

They go for the sucker punch/kick now

For the record, I'd be pissed too. Kids don't need to eat in the car. Heck, the Europeans don't even have cup holders in their cars! You don't see them or their kids eating and drinking in the car! I would try to use Spot Shot which is readily available. I have yet to see this stuff fail on a food stain.

I dont really stress it in my cars, cause i always seem to get dark interior with dark carpet. Get home today and she says - your gonna be mad, but we gotta problem with the car. I figured it was a technical issue...NOPE...i go to find KETCHUP stains in the GRAY CARPET!!!!!! I lost it before i knew it, because i have told her about him eating "crap" like that in the car. She said he didnt mean to drop it, i said yea im sure he didn't but the stain is still there. I have tried many things to get it out and the sad thing is that it aint MOVING!!! Its pretty much vacationing there for a while.

Do you guys know of anything that will help move the stain? Since it being a stain, it may be no hope. Then which i will get charged for it when i turn the vehicle in! DAMMMMMMMMMNIT!
I recommend u invest in a Bissel Green Machine. It's a relatively small carpet, upholestry(sp?) cleaner that works wonders on getting stains out (use it to get coffee stains out of my wife grey carpet all the time). http://www.bissell.com/Products/c/Po.../Category.aspx

Now if your son will continue to ride in the back seat, you might want to look into a backseat liner used for pets. You can buy a hammock style (attaches around headrest of front seat) if you son is in a car seat. http://accessories.bmwusa.com/ItemVi...&productId=554

Good luck

Update --

Turn the car in last week, and that spot was the first thing my vehicle rep noticed. I will admit, it wasnt half as bad as before, but was still noticeable.
She charged me $65 bucks for the damage, which isnt bad - cause it could have been alot worse.

$65...i'd pay more to avoid an argument with my wife about something so silly as my kids ketchup.

Thankfully, this saga is finally behind us and we can sleep well at night knowing that all is right in the world.....

Glad to hear he really wasn't that angry

+1 I am as anal about my car as they come but when you have kids & significant others in your car you have to chill just a bit. In the grand scheme of things the stain is a small bump in the road. Glad it did not cost you an arm & a leg
