If you have any other questions please let me know.

So for dark colors you would recommend doing the 2 step polish with this system than follow up with M205 or do you mean using the Correction compound skipping the Finishing Wax and than using M205, if hazing occurs.
Thanks

I think he's saying to replace the Polish/Wax if you want.

For the number of pads I would suggest about 1 - 2 per coat, but remember you should regularly give it a brushing and/or use compressed air on it for ideal results. They were also built to be extremely durable so you should be able to use them for quite a while with the proper care.

so, for my jet black car, my best bet is a two-step routine using the DA correction compound, then finishing with PO106FA on a black or white foam pad, then applying my own wax/sealant of choice?

i'm not looking for 100% correction, as it will never last (street parking + nyc weather), but i would like something that will make the average person pretty impressed.

I'm probably going to jump on this offer but I was adding up prices, etc. and it seems that if I were to buy all the supplies (and same qty.'s) included in the 5" starter kit separately...it's cheaper?

...unless the "free" apron isn't really "free"? lol. Just wanted to confirm.

I've read the reviews and they're pretty impressive but I wanted to hear/read your feedback for these products regarding the dreaded, Jet Black car? My car is CPO and the dealer did a DAMN good job of covering up the imperfections. I'd say there's some moderate to heavy markings.

Talk about swirl heaven.

I just added them up and got $92 give or take a buck or two and you are at the same price. did they switch the prices around?

they did. It was originally $99 for 5" Starter and $110 for the 6" Starter.

I originally got $92.95 (or something like that) and it was $7 cheaper.

Good to see they lowered the price and made it easier for us!

I would just start off with the Correction Compound and see what the results are like. It's very possible a one step will work just fine and you can go on to the Finishing Wax or sealant or wax of your choice. If you see some extremely faint and light haze the Finishing Wax may be all you need to take care of it. However if your paint is showing more noticeable haze, which is often more apparent on darker colors you may want to add another polishing step. If this is the case use the Correction Compound and follow up with the M205 or the Menzerna PO106FA. After that you can again use the Finishing Wax or any protecting product of your choice. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for the advice.

Spring won't come soon enough here in New England. Will have to give it as try in in a month or so.

I feel your pain living in upstate NY myself. You know it's cold when you are happy when the temps are above 30 with some sun. Unfortunately it is challenging to detail in this weather, but soon enough we'll catch a break.

I just ordered a 5" kit and the estimated ship date changed to "Spring 2011"

I hope this comes sooner than later! FYI there's a current promotion code for 10% off and 2.99 flat rate shipping...MarFlat

Thanks DI!

Hmm. Just ran through the process and it said estimated ship date: 3/1?

Hope Greg @DI chimes in and can give us a more firm estimated shipping date. I want to get this kit asap.

This kit looks like it would be good with beginners also (Such as myself)? Since it says it won't cause swirls.
