Rear shock upper mounts
Hi guys,
I have had B12 pro kit fitted to my e91 for a while now. I have been experiencing thudding sounds from the rear over slightly uneven roads. I cannot remember hearing this after the b12s but I’m pretty sure it was always there. At the same time of fitting them I fitted power flex black series rear upper shock mounts. Has anyone had experience with thudding from these bushes due to them being absolutely solid ? Should I go back to oem or go for yellow instead of black poly ? |

The solid upper mounts definitely transfer more thudding into the cabin but the B12's are monotube so they're going to transmit a lot more of that anyway. I'd get the cheap monroe ones if you want to go to a bit softer. They're like $10 and a huge upgrade from the stock foam ones.

no noise on my end, have solid everything (subframe, diff, shock mounts, lower shock monoballs mounts). imo its the design of the spring sitting between the subframe and chassis frame. with oe having so much wiggle in the subframe to chassis and shock to chassis, unless you do it all, it ends up with minor issues
