E90 SULEV N51 Radiator Replacement

n51 radiator developed a leak recently, and all the dealers around me seem to have this on backorder.

has anyone had any luck finding one of these in SoCal?

If you're comfortable with aftermarket, could go with the CSF 3718 radiator.

+1 for the CSF 3718. My SA said they were about 6 months out from BMW.
The hardest part is trying to save the sensor. If you need to replace the sensor, shop around! The prices vary greatly. Some places want a core charge as well.

thanks for the heads up on aftermarket. how much did you end up paying for that sensor alone?

I would need to check my receipts at home, but I think it was less than $170. If I remember correctly, I purchased from the shop I did because of free shipping and a coupon. FCP Euro has them for about $220. I see there is one on Amazon for only $164 now. Just be sure you cross check the part number through RealOEM or something similar. Some sensors may be identical, but the wiring may be shorter.

I bought the URO version. There is also a Mercedes sensor that will work, but the plug needs to be re-pinned.
It looks like the sensor is easier to find than it was just a few months ago.
