30 to 110 pull FBO + meth JB4

Maybe its just me (and perhaps getting back into the meat of the powerband) but if you notice, the needle sweeps faster after 100 mph... perhaps because AWD disengages?

Why should the AWD disengages? As far as i know, Xdrive is always on...

It disengages at low speeds, and at 100mph I believe, but there may be debate at what speed...

From what I've read, xDrive goes into rear wheel only mode after 100MPH.

I know that it opens at very low speeds but i don't think it goes to RWD at high speeds...

Why would it disengage at low speeds? That is where these cars get their advantage and why most of us like taking off from a dig.

Definitely doesn't disengage at low speeds but I've heard somewhere that it does disengage at speeds somewhere in triple digits.

It does to let you park your car easier... (as stated on BMWNA website)

I did some reading and there is some talk about this happening at 80 or 100 mph...

This has been discussed and someone pulled a document stating that it engages at 5 mph and disengages somewhere above 100mph. Someone can search to find it, it couldn't be more than a few months old
