Hey all,

I'm about to flash my car and I'm wondering which map is the correct map to flash? I live in Denver so I'm a mile high... This is the first mod to the car.

Also, do you really need to put the car on a trickle charger when flashing?

Hey man. I run the stg. 1 aggressive map with 20-25% e85/91. Runs perfect only other mod is drop in filter. I'm v. 301 btw. I plan to pro tune for 50/50 e85/91.

The off-the-shelf maps are fairly conservative and not dependent on altitude. What matters more is the available octane in your area; just use the respective map (ie. 91, 93).

You don't need a trickle charger if you have not seen a low battery warning lately. The first time install should take maybe 15 minutes.

How do I know which is for 91 and which is for 93? I flashed in the LT Sport map - 401. Whats the difference between sport drive and aggressive?

I see this now on COBBs site. So it looks like since we dont get 93 octane here sport is the best option?

Yeah, aggressive requires a minimum octane of 93. The sport maps would be best for your situation.

Once you're used to everything, you can mix a few gallons of e85 and run the aggressive map. Just start out with Sport first and see how the car feels.

LT or Linear Throttle is more aimed towards track use. The other is similar to stock. Try them both. I didn't like linear. And stick with sport. Maps. Aggressive will bring more potential for problems.

linear is more tailored for 6MT users, so you may actually like it. It's what I use; I found the stock throttle a little much for just driving around town.

Or you could run the e30 maps, since we have e85 available here in CO. I ran it for a while and it was amazing. I did a 2:1 ratio of 91/e85.

Mix with E85 and run aggressive. I suggest you edit the map in ATR to account for the ethanol % you plan to run

The difference is huge between sport and aggres. AT bandimer i trap 99mph on sport map. I trap 104 - 105mph on aggresive. That is a huge huge difference. I simply add 2.5-3 gallons of e85 at every fill up and it runs great on aggresive. Make sure you run the tank almost empty when you fill up to keep the ratio about the same. Good luck.

My understanding is they only offer e30 maps for people that are FBO or at least FMIC. Correct me if im wrong, if so, I will switch to e30 right away!!

Correct! Don't run E30 Race without the correct mod. FMIC is essential, so is a good intake for all that boost. DPs are also required.

you can run the correct map for your mod, go aggressive setting on 91 by mixing ethanol. You will also have to edit the fuel scalar in ATR to match ethanol content. your car will be happy, and so will you

FWIW I've been running their E30 map (and then my own E50 and E85 map based on it) with all stock hardware for over a month, in the interests of science, of course. I found the OTS E30 timing map to be a bit overly aggressive for my tastes, and I never run full throttle for more than 1/4 mile because the heat does build up VERY quickly with a stock IC. But I do think people are too easily scared off by Cobb's warnings...but maybe that's for the best.

A few weekends ago I was driving the backroads between Cañon city and cripple creek pretty hard and managed to get my oil temp up to 265 :-x

Did you happen to run the ots e30 map at bandimere?

No, I put it on and started logging when it came out, but within the first few pulls I wanted to start changing things. My last run with a good clutch was E25 and the OTS Stg1+ map, and my only attempt after that was with the full-on E85 tune that I used on the dyno but I had clutch problems.

I will probably be trying out the Race map tomorrow at Bandimere, assuming I can get my octane high enough...I still have a half tank of 91oct in there.

OP, run as high a map as you have mods, but don't go over sport unless you can pick up a little E85 or 100oct. in the tank.

FYI all.

Yesterday, we had a guy run 12.7@106.9 w/ 1.75 60' (e90 xi AT) with only jb4 e85 50/50 and DCI.

As a reference regarding cobb. I ran 13.10@106 w/ 1.85 60'. I'm also e90 xi auto. Cobb stg 1 aggressive and drop in filter (this is a 93 octane tune).

That 12.7 is FAST for being in Denver. That will take almost anything on the street, maybe not top end but from a dig.

A mid to high 11 second NA car at sea level would be on par with that 12.7. There
was a viper running mid to low 13's all night. Heavily modded cts-v's running low 12's, new 5.0's with s/c and slicks running low to mid 12's. All these cars were trapping 110-115 though.

I just picked up a AP for my bone stock 2010. Right now I'm running the stage 1 ST sport map and I'm amazed at how fast the car is versus stock. My logs look great, so I'll likely try the aggressive map in the spring when I put my PSS's on.

Has anyone tried running the aggressive map on 91 (no E85 mix) since our atmospheric pressure is lower than sea level?

I tried it, but did a lot of logging and watched for knock. I pulled timing everywhere I saw knock, which was especially bad on 3-4 shifts after being at WOT for several seconds. By the time I was done my timing table was actually more conservative than the sport map. So feel free to go through the same exercise yourself if you'd like, but if you don't want to spend a bunch of time logging and tweaking with ATR, I think you're better off just running sport.
