Run Flat Price
Hey
I need to replace the run flats on the rear of my 3 series as they have finally died after 94,000 KM's (original tyres). I have rung around and to get Bridgestone 255/35 R18 REO50A's fitted and balanced ranges form around $600/tyre (yes I said $600) to about an average of $440/$450. Cheapest was RACWA at $413/tyre and then a 10% member discount. I was able to secure $360/tyre at KMart...is that a reasonable price to pay for run flats of this brand?? Appreciate your feedback. |

Don’t fit run flats. The ride quality is terrible compared to standard tires. Get standard tires and a BMW mobility kit for a bit over $100. The kit cones with a slime kit and compressor to pump up your flat tire. Also comes in hard when you want to top up your tire pressures if they are getting low...I ran run flats worried that I better stick to stock wheels recommended by BMW. Eventually I swapped to standard tires and I wish I changed sooner. Don’t be a socket

My recommendation as well. Conventional tyres are much better, Should have changed sooner. It's like a new car.

The slime used in the BMW mobility kits are pretty old technology, not sure if they've updated the formula. These days you want a water soluble slime kit so it's easy to wash off, or you may get charged a shitload of labour to clean and get rid of the slime when you go dismount the tyre
