Wastegate/dump valve noise after EGR/EGR Cooler delete?
Wanted to find out from you guys in the states if the wastegate/dump valve sound I'm getting now from my 335d is normal.
My Uk 2006 335d e91 has Itg panel filter Forge boost hose Stage 2 AC Speedtech remap 385bhp 535lb Full Egr delete/full Egr cooler delete. Swirl flap delete Dpf delete Full custom exhaust no middle or back boxes. Since fitting the egr delete and completely removing the egr cooler when on boost then lifting off throttle I get a nice wastegate/ dump valve noise? Is that normal with the mods I have? The power difference after the egr delete and cooler is considerable. Thanks Alex |

Mine is similar at present, think the sound comes more from the intake as I have a panel filter too.
Perhaps the EGR delete causes less obstruction and makes a sound that was already present more audible?

I have a similar noise that started with the electrical egr delete mod then got a lot louder with a cone filter. I’ve found that the wastegate will open like that during a regen though. Check your exhaust temp, mines usually around 1000 degrees F when the wastegate starts opening around that rpm.
Lol nvm you’re fully deleted |
