Pics or it didn't happen

Did you bench bleed the MC? or is this not needed when pressure bleeding the system?
I'm about to replace the MC on my 2nd car (skoda Octavia), I read someplaces that the MC always should be bench bleeded, but some people say it's not necesary..

Master cylinder, when new or replaced it should according to what I read some places be bench bleeded before installed, and prior to the normal bleeding at the calipers.

So it was just a question if he have done that or not..

bleed it from what on the bench? doesn't really make sense. you need to install it in order to bleed it. don't worry about everything you read online...

I'll post pics as soon as I get the car back.

When I had it up in the air I noticed that on a previous service visit the tech didn't put my car back together correctly. I took it back to them this morning.

I'll have it back as soon as they put their stuff back together correctly.
I won't go into the details, but trim pieces missing, muffler hangers did even have the nut installed to hold them.

If I hadn't had my car in the air I would have never known until something fell off.

I haven't seen many Arctic 335 cars. I've seen some 2006 330, but around here Arctic is a fairly unusual color. It was so unusual that the car sat at the dealership for 4 months with no interest until I bought it. I got it for $5k below book because they couldn't move it.

Yes, only the brave should tackle the rears and also those two brake lines near the rear subframe.

Now I know why everybody sells two brake line kits; one with four brake lines and one with six.

Only those that don't know better order the six line kit.

So now for pedal feel.
I drove a new F30 328 as a loaner yesterday and and within 20 minutes drove my car. Night and day pedal feel. The 328 felt like mush compared to mine.
The 328 had 2500 miles on it.
Glad I did the M3 master cylinder.

I was tired after the install so I didn't put my CF splitters on. I'll probably do that this weekend.

If I reuse the E92 rear rotor, all I need to do is to drill a bigger bore in the holder for the caliper bolt? No need for changing the offset of the caliper? As done with F30 rotors? (Already asked, just need confirmation)

Wouldn't it be possible to use HeliCoil to reduce the threadsize/diameter so that I can reuse the E90 bolt, and also be able to go back to Stock setup if I want to sell the car?

If I reuse the rear rotors, will the pads be in 100% contact with the rotor, or will I get an edge on the pad adter some miles, the pad won't interfer with center of the rotor??

Do I need the Sensor cables included in the kit or should I run the E9x sensor cable?

Anyone know where to source cheap guide pins and springs for the pads?
I've found a set of calipers only, no other stuff so I need to complete the kit as cheap as possible.

The offset doesn't change a lot with the F30 rotors.
Open the holes and you will be fine.

I wouldn't try, there is already an insert in the caliper.
If you open the hole on the carrier up, you can always use a sleeve around the bolt later.

I don't think it will be an issue, but I have the performance rotor and never even tried to fit on the stock size.

The sensor in the kit won't work. The regular sensor won't work. Splice the pad part of the kit to the old sensor.

Figure about $20-25 per wheel.
Don't know where because I bought the whole kit.

The slotted rotors are noisy. I've had drilled brakes on multiple cars but never slotted.
The slots passing the pads at low speeds makes a something like a buzzing noise. Not that I care, just an observation.

Thanks, looked up all parts that were missing, and it was cheaper to buy a complete new kit =/.. Keeping my eyes open for new oppertunities.

I found a F82/M4 kit (not CCB), I know the E92/M3 brake parts won't fit, but haven't found anything about F82 retrofit.. will dig in deeper to see what I found

The F82 M4 a caliper that will bolt up but the discs won't fit.

The Falkens are quiet.
I've been running Falken tires on my cars for a while.
Good value for the money and it's a quiet tire.

Guide pins front = 4x 9€ = 36€ (Could be that there are 2pcs included in one kit, not sure!)
Guide pins rear = 4x 26€ = 104€ (Could be that there are 2pcs included in one kit, not sure!)
Pad spring front = 2x 15€ = 30€
Pad spring rear = 2 x 15€ = 30€
Sensor cable front = 24€
Sensor cable rear = 28€
Pads front/rear = 300€
Front rotors = 2x 310€ = 620€
F30 Rear P rotors = 2x 204€ = 408€
E90 Rear P rotors = 2x 95€ = 190€
Shields F+R = 90€

Total = 1670€(F30 rotors) and 1452€(E9x P rotors)
(And the guy were asking aprox 700€ for 4 calipers.
Grand total = 2370€ (F30 rotors) and 2152€(E9x P rotor) (The calipers was brand new, but had some scratches and dents, due to test mount..)

A brand new RED kit cost 1550€ from Leebmann24.de (German dealer)
+100€ if you want orange or yellow/gold.
Rear rotos aren't included in the kit, so it's + 2x95€ =190€

Grand total: 1840€ (1550(base kit)+100(orange)+190(rear E90 performance rotors))

So basicly, even if he gave me thoose calipers for free, I wouldn't consider it a bargain...

Too bad, really liked the design of the "M-compund" brakes, the rotor is not only 380mm, but quite sexy as well, AND the weight is 10,9 KG (Compared to 11.8Kg of the F30 P rotor)
So it would have been a 1Kg unsprung weight saving on just the rotors.

I don't think the calipers will bolt, the part numbers are unique for the F8x M3/M4.. Not the same as the blue "performance" stock calipers, not on F30 nor F36 4-series..

I would have loved to see a diagram of everything and actually see the measurments all around on both kits, but seems to be impossible to find..

(That kit have been used for 6000 KM, before the guy upgraded to Carbon Ceramic Brakes)

Nobody on here said that the calipers from the ceramic brakes package are the same as regular.
6 pistion on the front and 4 pistion in the rear.
However they still bolt straight on on the front on any e9x and for the rear will require the "standard" modification.
Why don't you reach out to Wlodi ?
He had couple of good used sets for sale.
