How tell if CDV is in car or not?

Hey guys,

Last year my e92 n55 6mt started to grind 2nd gear, so i took it to the dealer.

My SA is tight with me, so they replaced the whole tranny for me for free.

As far as I understood, it?s just the guts inside that they replace.

I had the CDV delete done BEFORE the tranny took a dump on me...

How do I know if the CDV delete plug that I had installed is still in the car? Or was this part of what they replaced in the transmission, so it?s the stock CDV?

My SA said the CDV delete part that I installed is most likely still in there, but he didn?t sound that reassuring...

In my opinion, car hasn?t changed the way it drove (feels like CDV is still deleted) since i got a new tranny last year.

Could anyone educate me on this? Thanks.

The CDV is in the hydraulic line between the clutch master and slave cylinders. If they replaced the tranny, I doubt they messed with it. They likely put the slave cylinder on the new transmission, bled the system and sent it out.
Depending on how you deleted it (M3 sleeve, remove sleeve and reconnect line, etc...) it wouldn’t be too hard to see if it was the same as it went in.

x2

The slave is just held on by two bolts outside of the trans, so they would have just moved it to the side along with the hydraulics so they didn't have to mess with it.
