awesome work and great job with this thread! im wondering if there is
anywhere other then tischer that you can get a mtech front bumper cover that fits good. There are lots of places that have good fitting aftermarket
m3 bumpers for e92 but is there anywhere that anyone could reccomend as
reputable and good quality/fit for an aftermarket mtech front bumper. Tischer charges $1050 for theirs and i know its oem but $1050 for mtech oem vs m3 aftermarket for $350 is a big difference. I like the mtech better then the m3 but its not that much better to justify that much price increase imo. Any suggestions would be very helpful! Thanks!

Has anyone done this lately?

The fender covers listed in the first page come up as Europe spec part numbers.

51-71-8-045-399 COVER, BOTTOM L
51-71-8-045-400 COVER, BOTTOM R

The part numbers I'm getting at real oem for US are different

Has anybody gotten this from mod-bargains?

http://www.**********s.com/E92-E93-M...ont-Bumper.htm

It says it includes all necessary hardware AND fogs. Not sure if this is for real, Is there anything missing from this kit?

Just did this last night, I can say with 100% confidence that the stock sport wheel well covers and belly pan work just fine with the m-sport bumper on an pre-LCI E92, no need to waste money buying new ones.

The brake duct is partially covered, and the oil cooler ducts don't quite match up, so that might be be the only thing to buy (I am going to to a fog light delete and use the 335is ducts, so didn't worry about it too much just yet)

Thanks for the install DIY op!

raceyBMW - Thanks for the confidence booster, I was getting a little nervous... I'm doing my bumper install when it arrives and have a pre-lci E92 as well. Did you trim anything for fitment, like the brake duct? Any forcing or bending of parts to align with holes? - Thanks!

I didn't trim anything yet, I have the 335is ducts for the oil cooler and msport brake ducts on order right now. I'm sure there will be some trimming needed for those according to others, but if you are ok with leaving as is, with the brake duct partially covered and fog lights installed, then no trimming is needed that I saw. Mine fit up extremely well for aftermarket.

Also, if you have an oil cooler, the stock passenger side fog light housing has a blanking plate that will block off airflow. If you have an oil cooler, you will need the one for the m-sport with oil cooler (link below), or you can just cut it out with a dremel. Like I said, the stock ducts don't line up perfect, but can probably live with it. If not, then buy the m-sport stuff and you will be golden.

Pointless and unnecessary...
BI, Unless I am totally obtuse it looks to me like you have completely and effectively rebutted the original jist of this thread, I.e., you need to make sure you spend lots of money on additional fitments which you seem to demonstrate are totally unnecessary. Is my read correct? I know this is a dated thread but still seems very relevant to those of us who are considering the bumper upgrade.

If you are using an OEM rep, you need the msport splash shield. If you bought a replica bumper from let's say eBay, they are designed to work with your OEM splash shield.

Lets dig this one up from the grave for a bit. So I bought my bumper, painted it and had it installed. Here is the issue. It can with washer nozzle covers but mine car only has the plugs. I would use what they sent but there is no way to attach since I don't have washers. I would use my OEM covers but they are too small. Anyone else have this problem? I contacted the seller and he said he didn't have a solution because most e92's have washers. Help! I hate these holes!!!!

Here is a link to what I bought.

Thanks in advance!

you could use double sided tape or glue... those are cheap ways of going about it

I just got a kit myself and was wondering what screws do you use to mount the fog light onto the bracket? I see a total of 3 spots to do so. Also was wondering if there is a different headlight washer cover for cars that do not have that. It looks like the ones that came with the bumper has nowhere to clip on.

I bought an Msport bumper for my LCI e92 and the bumper didn't fit well. the bumper didn't meet where the bumper and fender should click together. It looks like the engine cover is on the way. I will bring it to a shop tomorrow maybe they can do some trimming for me. thanks for this writeup
