Abarth 595 Competizione

Considering getting one of these as a fun pocket rocket. Nothing too serious

Anyone any experience of the normal Abarth 500 or of the new 595?

I haven't personally driven one, however my mate test drove one and decided the mini copper s works was a much better car and much quicker.

I have always had a soft spot for the Abarth. I think they look awesome

Went into Wessex garages Abarth in Bristol today. The salespeople were all too busy speaking to each other to worry about a prospective customer.

I thought with all the push about Abarth being a separate brand and dealer network would have distanced them somewhat from Fiat but alas no.
That brought back the memories of my last foray into Fiat ownership.. One I won't be repeating.

I sat in an Abarth at the Detroit Auto Show. Be sure to test drive one before you take the plunge, to me it felt very cheap. It's Chysler roots were shining through.

Totally agree!

Went in one ages ago for a Panda, and he told me, no you don't want to look at that one, it's more expensive.

Seems a bit much for a Fiat 500. Surely can get much more fun power with something else than a city pocket rocket?
