ST build continued
So SPCGRY is finally back home but not the way i thought it would be when we drove it up to Newcastle Very happy to have it back... Car was transported by Jims door to door transport. $1500 pick up and delivered. They did a great job, really looked after the car and even helped push it into the driveway for me.... I can thoroughly recommend these guys if you need car transport Car was full of parts, under tray, radiator fan, down pipes, engine cover, charge pipe and BOV, various hoses, heat shields, nuts bolts and stuff. DrJ did a great job packing it all in (thanks mate) Missing boost box, solenoids and some hoses which I hope wont be a hassle to get back. Basically mechanic left everything as it was, hoses and wires all over the place, oil and coolant leaking everywhere. Engine bay is looking pretty sad tbh. Hopefully there wont be too many parts missing and we can get it put back together ok.... Meanwhile pics of SPCGRY arriving from Sydney and shots of the engine bay that needs some serious DIY time |

They certainly ripped it apart on you. I cannot understand why the radiator and CP were removed. I would have thought that the only parts on the passenger side of the engine that required removal would have been the air intake and intakes hoses to the turbos. You won't be short of something to do for a while. But it must be a good feeling to have it back on home turf again.

Glad to see car back in Melb sock. Did the workshop give you any explanation as to why they hadn't work on the car for 8 weeks? I mean if they said too busy, thats simply not a good enough excuse given they stripped most of the parts off, then charged labour not to mention the road transport costs you incurred. I feel pissed for you
well at least its in good hands now with Vince |

Terrible outcome from that place, the fabricator is a greedy scumbag who took the opportunity to scab as much money as possible, when HE was the one who did absolutely nothing. The itemized bill is a joke and you can tell every item on that list is just padded so he didnt have to refund you anything. I'm confident we can get the car going again, will be a big job sorting out the mess that idiot left you, but hopefully we can put this whole ordeal behind us and it'll be a single turbo with manual transmission, all dialed in with no shortcuts. The manual transmission will be a joy to drive, I always found the high km ZF 6ATs to drive pretty poorly, will feel so much more responsive with the manual

Great ! 126 more pages full of stuff that I'd like to do to my car but can't afford. Better make some popcorn.
