Any recommendations on pressure washer setups that are $300 or less for everything? Primarily needed just to clean cars and smaller items, not the house etc.

When it first arrived I had to return it and have it replaced as the pump was faulty. Frustrating but I had my replacement in 2 days and have no issues with the new one. It is an electric so it doesn't have the ass behind it that a gas powered pump offers but there are trade offs with an electric on longevity and the diaphragm. If you do purchase this one, I would recommend buying some different tips for the wand. The multi/rotary style tip works just fine as it is but it does add a little extra weight to the end of the wand if you are going to be using it for a few hours. I do like the compact design and the folding handle for easy storage. I will also mention that although it states 3.5 GPM this is only the case when the 0 degree nozzle is used. I bought mine to use for various projects around the house and to wash my car after picking up a drywall screw at the car wash down the street. I also bought a foam cannon but after using it twice, I won't be using it again. I found that using the foam cannon only adds another step in the process and makes it a pita to switch between the cannon and another nozzle to rinse after washing, considering this pressure washer has a soap dispenser.

If you are going to be doing a large area such as a patio or driveway, I do recommend one of these as well.

Lol $300 is budget? Try a $80 pressure washer from harbor freight. They work great. 1500 psi is perfect, you don't want something too strong for the car. Also it's electric so it's more convenient than getting gas.

Not bad, I was going to suggest the Greenworks 1600psi unit from Home Depot. After $20 off code it's like $80.

I also upgraded to a 50 foot hose that I found on amazon. It's a bitch to wrap back up, I'm actually looking to get a hose reel for it.

You mentioned something that I think I want to get for my own setup to help speed things up...quick connect/disconnect fittings. The pressure washer hose I just bought has a really tight fit that almost seems like it's the wrong thread pattern..but it's not. Takes ~1 minute to get the damn thing to thread on...quick connects would eliminate that.
