Ryanair....

Just watching Panorama who are slating the stuff Ryanair charge for!

TBH, I've flown with Ryanair before and had no problem but know people who wouldn't go near them. I just made sure I took off all the options I didn't want and fed myself before I got on the plane

The programme is moaning about no reclining chairs and the cost of sandwiches....for Christ sake, if you don't like it then DON'T BLOODY FLY WITH THEM and pay the extra that another airline charges (or maybe not in some cases)!

But then the crazy thing is that the public aren't exactly voting with their feet despite moaning like crazy about them. Thats the only way the company will change and it doesn't look like it's ever going to happen.

I wouldn't want to work for them though - sounds like a terrible company to work for!

Reclining seats should be banned on all daytime flights cos theres always some git who decides to recline into your 3mm of space just cos theres a button to try.

Ryan air are great, where else can you get such value for money? You just need to remember that you get what you pay for.

I agree...but it's like comparing your DXB to this....

Hardly apples for apples.

Neither Virgin, the Lada or even the DXB can get you from Leeds to Dublin for 2p!

Yeah good point..

Would you really want to get on something that costs 50million, has lots of HP and flies at 530mph and only pay 2p for a 1 hour trip.

I would be very scared myself.

Well, I'm still here! Actually, Ryanair are known to have one of the newest fleet of planes in the world so I reckon they're pretty safe! So Panorama said anyway!

And if you're going to die, a plane crash would likely be a horrible, but quick ending!

Not that I fancy trying one out that it is!

Virgin are very good, been to New York and Las Vegas with them. Not as good as Emirates though, fantastic entertainment systems onboard.

Virgin - I have previously flown with BA and American to the states and Virgin, IMO are much better for no more money.

If Ryanair was the only choice I'd get a taxi to another airport. Heard too many horror stories to ever consider using them. And as for O'Leary, a man that makes it clear that he has no respect for his customers in any way shape or form. I would rather row across to Dublin than put a pound in that man's pocket.

As for Virgin, we fly with them 2-3 times a year and rate their Upper Class product highly. Been to New York, Washington and Antigua with them this year. Dubai and Florida planned next year so far.

You get what you pay for and it all depends on what you want out of your flight. If it is the start to a very nice holiday then maybe treat yourself to a 'nicer' flight. If you want a 'bus' to a city break then Ryanair are great. Ten of us went to Dublin for a mates stag do and we all flew for a penny there and a penny back. It cost a tenner extra to check bags in (fiver out ward and a fiver back) - A taxi back from town on a sat night costs me just under a tenner! £10.02 to Dublin and back was an absolute bargain. There were no extra costs on that either.

Also used em for my Stag do last year to Spain - cost us about £50 each and was great value.

Planes were clean, staff polite and all flights bang on time.

No complaints at all

Unbelievable....1p! As long as the thing doesn't crash you just cannot go wrong with this! I mean, when you've got off the plane it's happened, the experience is largely behind you. And if you've paid just 1p, you've got a whole load more cash for the extremely expensive Dublin pubs!!!

A tenner for bags...shame on you! What was wrong with what you were wearing??

I actually looked into flying Upper Class when I went to LA a few weeks back - I looked away very quickly when I learned what the price would be. The 'upgrade' was £6000....YES £6,000 EACH on top of the £600 flight.

Even if I had £1m in the bank, I could think of better ways to spend over 1% of my bank balance! I don't and I didn't!

Singapore ladies are very, very nice. Thai too - stretched out with a Singha. BA ladies very courteous and up for a bit of craic.

Swiss employ spinster dragons. Refuse to use them since last time I flew business and they were pathetic. Scowling at you.

The airline that makes them keep their jackets on but leaves the air conditioning turned off.

Hard to tell with Emirates since they all got some messed up thing on their head

I actively avoid Ryanair but there are occasions when there's no choice.

They've cut all their decent flights from Newquay (once did home to a hotel on the Med in under three hours door to door) so that's unlikely anyway.

Always found BA to be very good - and they now take surfboards again.
