Hi everyone, just wanted to ask 2 questions that I need advice on, 335d 2006 e90, what colour coolant should it be, is it blue?

Also only had the car 10 days and noticed last week it wasn't getting upto temp, only getting to 55-65 when driving, if sat for a while it will get to 85-92 but as soon as I start driving it comes right back down, anyway I changed the main thermostat and it's no different and still only gets to 55-65, the thermostat wasn't a genuine one from bmw so I've now ordered a genuine one that I pick up tomorrow and will fit Friday but is it definitely likely to be the thermostat as I'm just thinking what are the odds that one was only getting upto 55-65 then I put a brand new one on and it's doing the same so could it be something else?

EGR has gone on the car and it's mapped out so there's only the main thermostat unless it's likely to be anything else

I'm in the uk if that makes any difference

Not getting up to temp would suggest a failed thermostat being stuck open. Have you checked for any error codes?

I've changed the main thermostat 3 times in the past 10 days, the first 2 thermostats weren't genuine from bmw so thought that might of been the issue, changed it again yesterday with a genuine one from bmw and still no different

The EGR cooler has been removed from the car before I bought it so it can't be the thermostat on the EGR

Only codes are for glow plugs and auxiliary water pump
