O2 bank 2 sensor 2 fault on 335i

I just picked up a 2010 335i and it has a o2 code for bank 2 sensor 2. When I went to look under the car I noticed someone has been in there before and did a pretty bad job. On one cable they got rod of the clips and just twisted the wires together and put tape on it. The other one they one they have 2 wire like that and 2 using the plug. I'm having a hard time trying to find what bank goes to what side of the exhaust, but I believe bank 2 is the one closer the the passinger side. I'm getting the code p0057 and it could ether be the o2 sensor "Activation" or "short circuit". I took what I believed the to be bank 2 and did alot better wiring on the cables, but after clearing codes and driving for around an hour next time I turned it on the service engine light was back on. Any advice of what to do next?
