Mine are fucking in there lol, gotta use a press at work today...

Sorry for all the nit pick questions guys but one more, the caliper bolts that hold it to the knuckle... are there not any nuts that hold the bolt in place?? Like all I've seen is just the bolt itself threaded in but how is the torque being held if there is no nut there? Or did I just miss seeing a nut in every install pic?

THX!

Anyone have the step by step on how to code these to e90? Can't find it through search function.

Hi,

do anyone know where to buy the eccentric bushings (in Europe)?

I have front M2 Knuckles on my 125i and i would like to use the OEM Fxx 340mm rotors with Fxx 4 pots Brembo calipers; so for a perfect swept of the pads i need to offset the caliper 5mm (to the radius) inside.

Do you think that i have enough space in the knuckle to offset it 5mm inside?

Thanks

Do anyone can measure this red diameter on a 340mm caliper?

I want to be sure that i can offset the caliper ~5mm in the center direction with enough clearance / knuckle fitting "ears"

Thanks

Brake upgrade done for me as well.
Big thank you to 335d cypis Sourced the eccentric bushings, master cylinder and the rear calipers, then he sent them over via post (excellent packaging ). Not to mention that he had problems with the courier for the rear calipers and he had to visit their location.

Aside from the bushings for the rear calipers, did no other modifications (cuts, trims, etc). Picked the Zimmerman E60 disks for the rear (150.3461.54 / 55), DBA 42676S for front (cypis recommendation), Ferodo Racing FDS4611 & FDS4663 for pads. EBC brake lines and Motul RBF 600.
I do have a 'repeating swooshing' sound in the back - only hear it as an echo, if underground parking or cars parked very close, but the wheels spin ok and did not notice extreme heat on the disks. The mechanic guy said it shouldn't be an issue, most probably happening inside the disk hat.

Pictures.

Matt black because my colour choice was not available at the paint shop (they would've had to order and I would've had to pay for the entire order). Couldn't go with blue because then I would've had too many colors on the car. Wheels are matt black as well.

Once again, thank you to everyone contributing to this thread!!

Hey, looking very good man! Which way did you install "offset" of those bushings? (Like to bring caliper more outwards/inwards/up/down) The reason im asking is because rear pads seem to be sitting a little bit more towards the center of the rotor....
Maybe its just a pictures

I have the same "swooshing" sound. It was faint when first installed and now loud after 500 miles or so. I'm having them inspected this week to ensure nothing is hitting inside the hat and that the calipers are fully bled. My initial thought is that one of the pads is dragging and the "smooshing sound" is it going across each slot in the caliper.

Thank you!

The "offset" was aligned to push the caliper outwards (from the rotor center) as much as possible. Yup, there's a small edge on the outside of the rotor, but the pads do not seem to go over the inner edge, towards the rotor hat. I believe that if the bushings would've allowed the caliper to go even further away, that unused area on the rotor would've been on the inner circumference (tried in 2 of the pictures to catch that inner edge of the rotor and the pads).

Also, as you guys can probably see, the rear rotor is not centered perfectly. I think it's off by 2mm at most, towards the outside.

I believe in my case it went the other way around - getting more quiet. There was a concern when installing the calipers that they might get in contact with that heat/protective plate behind the rotor. We did not cut anything from that plate anyway, we seemed to have something like 3-4mm distance.

Let us know what you find out please. Fingers crossed it's related to the handbrake stuff inside the hat and gets fixed easily.

I had to trim the parking brake plate down on both sides in order for the hat to sit flush on the hub. Surprised you were able to mount and mate with no issues.

Got them installed over the weekend.

Need to re-bleed as my pedal is pretty mushy, did the M3 MC swap.

Also, not sure why even with the eccentric bushings I don't have a full pad sweep

I like the clean and tasteful color combination... pad wear should be fine...

About to pull the trigger on this, but just want to confirm a few things for my given setup.

My Car : 2013 335is, have a complete rear end from e92 m3 (rear subframe and everything attached to it, including m3 rear knuckles/rotors/hubs).

My understanding is the front requires no modifications, the rears, from what I was told I could reuse the e92 m3 rear rotors and the calipers should also bolt up with some washers onto the e9X m3 rear knuckle. Is this correct?

Also I would need to buy a MC from an e9X m3 as well correct?

Finally, I see a vendor on eBay selling it for $1760 for the kit in red. Anyone sell it cheaper?

I can at least answer and say yes, you'll want the M3 MC.. easy enough swap. ~$100 on ebay. Fronts are no mod needed, dunno about the M3 rear knuckle fitment vs. stock.

I'd say ~$1700 is what I was finding on ebay for the kit too

Got a proper bleed finally with the Motive bleeder using Motul RBF600 and they feel freakin awesome!

2 more things need correcting though:

1. Need to still drill out the rear knuckle ~1mm to get the full pad sweep of the rotor surface area
2. I have some weird low speed clunk going on whenever I switch from reverse to forward, or back to reverse again. Only at low speeds when parking, doesn't do it if I go forward, stop then go forward again. Only when going from forward into R then back forward again..
