crazy choices for exhausts

brake lines/pads/fluid is a popular mod as well...worth it IMO

all sorts of lips/bootlids/diffusers, etc. sponsors on m3post are everywhere so you can buy anything from them
I vote against brake pads (esp if you have the BMW brake pad warranty). Stock pads are PERFECTLY fine for a beginner learner, and you'll save a ZILLION dollars. I recommend an exhaust - the V8 does sound pretty sexy. I wouldn't get expensive cosmetic mods like hood/trunk/etc until you actually know what difference it will make. But minor mods like black grilles for sure, it looks nice.

My suggestion: #1, good tires; #2, an exhaust perhaps. But m3 montreal will tell you which mod is the most useful since he has them ALL. See what he says

Don't succumb to temptation. Leave it stock for a while. Why change wheels when you paid extra to have 19s?

Do track oriented mods first after you figure out what you need. You will figure this out at the track. Don't forget: The best mod money spent is spent on yourself. It stays with you forever. So spend the $$$ on proper HPDEs.

Yeah that's what I was saying. Although I am pro-cosmetic mods.

Jerrys is one of the Grey colors. I forget the name.

As far as mods... If Montreal Red and Niqui show up for breakfast this sunday ... Well... You will have get to see a lot of mods including 3 different brands of exhausts...

Just wondering where do you guys get work done on your cars? For this summer the car will remain as is, but next year I will start putting some work on it, I just don't want to void my warranty.

You'll hear a variety of opinions, I'll be the first to say Bimmershop - Seb knows what he's doing. I won't extol his virtues unnecessarily, but he's a fair guy, he builds racing BMWs for fun, and he is out in the middle of fucking nowhere (which is a huge downer). Google "bimmershop chicoine" and you should be able to find it. There is also Autobar and Autoworx, but I have no experience with them. Others will extol their virtues

A few shops around the area. I'm testing 2 "new" ones. I'll give my reflections later. But it all depends what you are having done.

Come to the Mont Tremblant event on Aug 21-22! It's a weekend, so no need to take time off work, and quite a few people should be showing up to that. A very fun track, and a great event.

Autoworx in VSL. This is a true mod shop and they have a body shop and professional paint booth. The owner used to drift in competitions and one of their mechanics used to work at BMW Laval so he knows bimmers inside out and he has the program to diagnose our cars like the dealers.

Bimmershop : I Like them also I just find them way too far. Small shop in comparison to Autoworx but they are mainly BMW's so they know them inside out and they also race and make custome rollcages etc...

I would recommend both.

Anyone up for some Napierville tonight? I will be going down with a couple of friends from BMW Canbec. They will bring a 135i with some goodies. We should have some good times for anyone else interested ....

And, for whoever cares, my car was fixed in NY and im back safely. Horray

Joel... I have JUST the right car for you... Considering a used M3 (stock) sells in the 58 to 65k range) this is 20k above BUT... You only pay one tax since its private (HUGE savings there) and there is absolutely nothing to add to this beast!!!
