I heard that BMW will be launching their performance power kit one day after they fix the HPFP issue.

Procede FTW plus its undetectable, clear the codes take your procede off get it serviced and they would never know it had a tune, i mean who really wants a measly 20 hp, thats just a waste of money imo, i do see benefits of cooling but thats all with this kit

Your wish is my command...

First concrete infos from Germany:

1) Price incl. VAT + install: 1865,50€ (roundabout 2650 USD); NB: this is already somewhat lower than the official price (individually negotiated price with dealer)

2) Performance: The well-reknown German car magazine "sport auto" has just tested it in their latest issue (August 2009 / out today). Result: Slightly faster acceleration from 0-100 km/h (0,3 sec. faster than the stock 335i), but even slower on the track (small Hockenheimring course). The magazine was rather underwhelmed.

They can keep it whatever their theft...I mean price! Nowhere near the performance for the $$$, but there will be plenty of people out there spending the big bucks for very little just to keep their warranty 100% intact. Those people will think they can run with a stock e92 M3, then when they get ripped by one they will then come here looking for a tune and some mods. BMW performance package FTL!

cheers

I don't know... it has its market for sure. I personally am less interested in the actual performance and more interested in the improved cooling. Warranty is also less of an issue seeing I am closing in on only one year left. I plan to keep my car for the long run and would love to bring the fluid temps down considerably. Extra hp is just a bonus. If I was worried about hp increase alone, obviously I would look towards some sort of aftermarket tune.

Price is less what I expected (install included). Keen on the cooling fan and upgraded oil cooler.

I would like to get this (or someting like this) done to my car... and just like you not for the "power" gain. I want to upgrade my radiator (all cast aluminum) and probably the fan as well (higher wattage) to help with temperatures. I have yet to exceed 250F with the stock oil cooler so it isn't as important to me as the water temps and IAT's.

I'm interested in purchasing the upgrade more for the extra cooling than the ponies.

I own my car and it is all paid for. With 15000 miles in 2.5 years I am going to keep this car for the long haul so a little extra power and cooling and BMW backed warranty while keeping well within the operating parameters of the turbos is a better choice for me. I am still on the fence, though.

First and foremost I need to improve my driving abilities before a ridiculous increase in horsepower. What good is all the horsepower if you can't really use it?

This is from another thread (which i posted in) http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=289850
The OP says it costs between 1600-1900 euros (so that's about 2400-2800 US)

...problem is that you will not get a ridiculous increase in hp.
the price will probably be close to ridiculous though

i am with everyone else: i like the cooling aspects.. hope they can and will sell those items seperately.
