The price just jumped high in the last couple of minutes of the auction. The buyer really wanted it

Surprising given the mileage and accident history. It’s insane what these cars continue to sell for.

I think maybe we’re getting near the point where irrationality is setting in....

These prices are making it harder to find a clean decently priced daily E91. I am now in the brainstorming process of switching my search to a low priced but clean body E91 and doing a N54 swap from my current E90... mad1stgen knows what I'm talking about

At this time you can't import an E91 because of the years. I believe the current regulations are they have to be at least 25 years old before you can import a vehicle.

If you've been following this thread you should know a RWD/6MT is a unicorn in itself, add black interior (or anything not beige/tan) and it's even harder to come by. As for the M parts, have you ever priced out bumpers, paintwork and wheels? Assuming they were OEM that's about $1300+ in bumpers, add $800-1000 for paint, another $600-1000 for the wheels and tires.

The car sold for what it was worth imo. Clearly there were plenty of buyers who thought the same.

Speaking of price jumping up quick, 6 days to go and its at $11,000

But the build sheet on it is somewhat a letdown - Just Premium package and Value package.

To each their own. In the end, the car is worth what someone will pay for it. Congrats to the seller and the buyer, as they will have an awesome car nonetheless.

Note the stains on the sunroof headliner. Someone left the sunroof open during a rain storm. Otherwise, very clean car in my opinion.

I guess my thought was it’s one thing to be into a nice e46 for $8,000 when it’s true worth is half that. In this case if you total the wagon the insurance co. is going to give you $10,000 less than you just paid for it. Not to be a downer but......something to consider. “If that’s your attitude go buy a Golf Sportwagon” is probably the response I deserve for such thoughts.......
