Wedge Flash + Procede= 22psi stock turbos & 15 degrees advance/ Holy Sh*&t !
I have been working with Wedge for a while now on sorting things out on my car, and wow..I think this has to be some sort of record for stock turbos:
21.6 psi flat across, no timing drops, solid timing across the board: http://www.datazap.me/u/atomos319/pr...log=0&data=1-5 I have to give props to Wedge. I have been bugging him for nearly a year now, from one problem with my car to the next, including two bricked dme's, he has always been great to work with and extremely responsive. You can tell he likes what he does because if you give him a chance, he answer every question you have, and then a little more. He certainly knows these cars. Finally, I want to weigh in on "donationgate." I donated $20.00 about a year ago, because that is all I can afford at the moment (two children under two can make things tight). He has never once complained, asked for more, or acted like I was wasn't worth his time. At the end of the day, I think all he wants is for people to appreciate what he does for them rather than acting like he owes them something. Anyways, my car is quicker than ever thanks to Wedge. If it weren't for him I probably would have become frustrated with this thing and abandoned ship some time ago. On a final note- yes, 21.6 is a tad much for stockers. We have backed down to 19-20 so my turbos don't explode. |

That's awesome man. I'm sure he would also appreciate more of a donation, but I'm sure this review of the quality of his services has got to be worth something as well. I've never personally dealt with Ken, but I have never heard a bad thing from anyone he's worked with. Seems like a great guy and a serious enthusiast for the platform. The kinda guy we need to make donations to and ensure that they stick around.

We'll see your add in the for sale section soon for a "part out. blown motor". Lol just kidding. That's great to see stock snail can work that hard. I really want to see how much you gain from the ultra aggressive tune.

wedge really knows his stuff, however ive been trying to reach him for over a month to adjust some timing drops up top but i can't get a hold of him. i "donated" $150 and im waiting to finish my flash so i can "donate" more. it is worth every penny and i hope i can make some time for my emails soon.
with my RBs and wedge flash im beating 500whp+ cars all day long. before the flash i couldn't even take on a new 5.0 with the RBs. most recent kill was a 370z TT that made 560whp, but i only saw a clip of him only making 523whp on a mustang dyno. still a lot of power.

Honestly, if the cylinder you're logging is running anywhere near the ragged edge, there is a good chance you're pushing one of the others further than you should. I would find a nice stretch of road and do six passes logging a different cylinder each time to get an idea of distribution and tune for the worst one.

It sure is funny how all of a sudden now that the JB4 has the 6 cyl capability its now life or death to have 6 cyl timing. Up until a month or two ago it was simply a nice peace of insurance to have while you were pushing your engines for all they were worth without. IF you all thought it was so critical you'd all have Cobb tunes (I have neither so no bias). Last I checked virtually ALL the whp records and times etc were done without 6 cyl timing monitoring. I KNOW its important to have but its still an interesting observation how all of a sudden how much more important things get when you actually have access to it.

Don't get me wrong, however, I am a huge proponent for being able to monitor each and every cylinder as that is THE safest way to push the car, but you do need to admit that it isn't the only way to have a safe and reliable tune on these cars as the DME is extremely fast and extremely smart. The knock detection on these cars has probably saved more than a few from going . |

As far as the log up top, make sure you are really only running that boost pressure, the stock map sensor will not read higher than 21.5-2.16 psi, we are running almost 30 psi on our shop car and the datazap logs flatline at 21.6 psi just like yours. Im not biased since we carry Jb4,Cobb and Vishnu products.
Let me start by saying Wedge is a friend and i personally think he is a really good tuner. My personal opinion is that if you were running conservative timing and boost you do not need to view all 6 cylinders, but when you are pushing you car near its limit( 21 psi ) then logging all 6 cylinders is a must. Now that you backed down on boost, you are probably fine just logging one cylinder as long as you do not got too crazy with your timing advance and you keep running with e60 and 93 (hopefully you have an inline fuel pump)
