It's likely misfires. Pull the check engine light code.

If spark plugs have over 25,000 miles on them then its likely the culprit.

If you have a tune pull the codes.
If no codes are present do couple logs and post it.
More than likely it is bad spark plugs

Could also be your injectors are bad my car acted in a similar manner when they were going out. Have you noticed any smoking out the tail pipe?

Looks like bad plugs or coils. But get the codes if you can.

I installed my COBB V3 on the 335i this morning, and I too noticed a huge amount of engine stutter after 3k rpm... It didn't sound anything like in your video. But more like the engine was being chocked and RPM started going backward even though I still had my foot on the accel (not WOT). I tried 2 more pulls in 3rd and after 3.5k to 4k rpm engine light came on and found codes on cylinder 1 miss fire.

I cleared codes and changed map from Sgt1 Aggressive to Sport. Same issue although no codes. Reset back to map 0, car ran perfect ;/

Running on 98 RON full stock (have other bolt ons ready to go but want to try COBB on it's own).

The very rough shake and stutter is definitely from the engine on Sport map Stg1. But the cly1 miss-fire code and issue sounded much worse on the aggressive map. 2 issues or just 1 caused by a possible bad spark plug / coil?

I guess I too will have to look at new spark plugs/coils. Funny that the car runs perfect on stock map...

Could someone confirm the engine vibration is what a misfire is? I haven't experienced a misfire before so want to me sure that is what it was. If it's not... then I will have a problem trying stage 1 ST or aggressive with Cobb...

The codes you pulled confirm that you have a misfire. Read up on the official misfire thread in here to learn more, lots of info. Plan to replace all your plugs now that your tuned.

I'm still waiting for the spark plugs and coils to arrive from ECB, so running map 0 in the mean time.

However I happen to open my engine oil cap and found the oil around the cap and on the side walls is very dry and almost turning into tar or some kind of thick sludge... Some parts of the oil are brittle dry flakes...

I did not have this before, could the misfire cause this?

Man I've been experiencing the same bs for a whole and can't figure out what's wrong! When I step on it my CEL comes on and the car enters a limp mode of some sort. Very minimum power. I put it in map 0 and got the OBD port checked at Autozone. i got code P2096, P114B, P0041, P2099.
its saying too rich in bank 2. too lean bank 1. Ho2S bank 1 and 2 signal wires swapped.
Possibly had the sensors swapped when putting in catless dp's? Or maybe just spark plugs or fuel injectors?

Would be great if someone could confirm if the misfire running for 5 to 10 mins cause this sludge? Or have I got a different problem?

Im planning to tako off the engine cover and get a better look. Car has been serviced on a regular basis. Frequent oil and filter change. So it cant be that.
