Newbie here, with a couple of questions!
Hi All,
Am new to this forum, having stumbled upon in through a google search. I've just recently sold my E46 M3 and got this instead: E92 325i SE Coupe Auto March 07 4150 miles Previously owner BMW Management Sapphire Black with Black leather Brushed Aluminium Trim Sat Nav Pro Bluetooth + Telematics DAB Digital Radio 19" Alloys Front heated seats Elec folding mirrors Quite a neat looking car, does get a fair few second glances!!!!! Now, here's my questions: 1) I've read quite a lot about replacing the rear number plate lights with white LEDs and was wondering if this was easy to do, and if there is a UK based seller of said accessory 2) I'm quite sure that I had seen these things which you can place in the keyholes on the door handles which effectively hide the keyholes giving the car a uniform appearance. Any ideas where I can source those from? Not sure if this is the appropriate forum for asking such questions, but please do humour me THR Doc Last edited by THR Doc; 01-22-2008 at 05:17 AM.. |

try the cosmetic mods forum for the led lights. i think they were standard from april 07 builds!! im sure u can easily retrofit.
what u need for the keyhole is a cover available from bimmian http://www.bimmian.com/KHC/92/1 http://www.bimmian.com/92 but im sure its also avaiable elsewhere for cheaper! goodluck! |

Why would you want to do that, making your plate easier to see must be a disadvantage IMO

Thanks for that G33.
These sites are all US based and so the shipping is a bit of a killer. Any idea if there is anything in the UK that I can order from? THR Doc |

Just to let you know my Jan 08 registered car does have white LED's to illuminate the rear number plate. There are two lights, each with 2 white LED's, its obvious given the brightness. I dont know if this is a recent modification, or if older cars had it too.
Sytner also told me that the rear LED rods in the light cluster which come on with headlights or daytime running lights, have been revised from Dec07 to make them more clear from a distance and ensure even illumination across the band. |
