3 piece wheels resealing requires disassembly?
Hey everyone. Tittle pretty much says it all, does resealing 3 piece wheels require disassembly? i searched and the majority of the informative threads i found here and there suggest to disassemble wheels, clean surfaces, reassemble without any silicone on the faces, then seal the mating parts from the outside.
Example: http://www.stanceworks.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=26614 Seller of the set i was looking into said that one of the wheels needs resealing but its not leaking he told me that i won't have to disassemble anything but only remove old silicone and then apply a new bead. Since imo the first option seems to be the most effective way to do it and that i didn't feel like getting into a wheel project right now i backed off but i would like to have some opinions for future references. Thank you |

If it's not broke, don't touch it i always say (unless you're upgrading).Only thing I'm thinking is maybe the seal looks brittle and could potentially leak? If you want some 3 piece wheels, I have a set of HRE's sitting in my garage collecting dust. PM me if you're interested in them. No issues at all, just mount and go.
