Like Son like Father
So my dads lease runs out on his CL55 and he goes to pick up a 335i coupe, thats how much he loves my car. Black/Black/Burl Walnut ZSP ZPP NAV CA HS IPOD. $2700 off list of $50,100. Anyone here have aluminum trim that might be interested in the burl walnut trim? This deal was a spur of the moment type thing (yesterday being the last day of the month and everything). The car has around 50miles on it and he is willing to trade the trim out.
The best thing about this whole scenario is me getting to mod his car and not have to pay to do it. i'll post some pics up soon. If anyone is interested in a trim swap around the Tampa area let me know. |

I'm not in the market for the trade, but show him the catalog of performance parts on the forums.... He might go for the carbon fiber :-)

Thing is, the black exterior and black interior with dark trim looks tired. The car needs some life on the inside and aluminum trim would have that effect. Carbon fiber would work in my car because of the coral red interior

I personally agree with Black/Black/Aluminum, if I got an E90/E92 I would Sapphire Black Metallic on Black Leatherette with Aluminum Trim. Have fun! |

lol pimp star, cant believe I didnt think of that... I can probably talk him into buying the CF for me, since he would have to pay around 750 for aluminum. Who makes a good CF kit?

lol good thinking Pimp Star.
Yeah, you should get the CF for yourself! I want to see how my car would look, considering it's the same as yours.

he's had a lot of nice expensive cars, hes older now and is getting ready to retire, he is tired of making 1700/mo. + car payments also. He took one drive in my car with the procede and couldnt believe how well it handled and how fast it was. In my opinion the e92 is a better driving experience than the CL55, anyone whos ever driven a mercedes or an AMG mercedes knows the ride is more of a softer feel and not as tight/sporty as the BMW. Of course it is fun having that huge supercharged V8 and flooring it though. I was blowing that car away until about 80ish, that thing goes like 85 in 2nd gear. After the wheels hook up its very fast, especially for being a 4200lb car. I still have not been able to find the aluminum trim or carbon fiber yet. The dealer wants $750 for the aluminum trim and the lowest I have seen on carbon fiber is around 1k-1.1k

^ agree 100%. Tell your dad to get an M3! He's not really gonna like the power from a 335i after driving a CL55 AMG......
