New Halogen Bulbs for my 2007 328i
Okay so in the past I was interested in possibly getting some newer Xenon headlights, but after looking at the cost of doing it properly, I'd much rather get nice new halogen bulbs. So I've looked into it a bit with some searching around on here, but nothing too recently. So I figured I'd just ask. I saw that Osram and Philips were both towards the top of the list of recommended brands when it comes to Halogens, but I can't find what the ones which perform the best overall, I'd prefer a nice white color, but am open to anything!
I need a pair of high and low beams. I was looking at these- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...GGXWRPXMG2YH66 and these- http://www.amazon.com/Philips-Diamon...0_SR286%2C320_ |

The white color (blue colored bulbs) won't be as bright as your OEM bulbs to be honest. The coloring just makes it look more dim. I had Osram Night breaker on my 328i when I had one beforehand. Probably the best halogen bulbs I ever had but they are still yellow halogen looking when it came to the color.

I went though something similar... wanted xenons for my 2008 e90, mostly didn't like the amber lens and wanted AE. I went with LCI halogens which are a direct replacement. You get the AE for which you can buy white LED bulbs from LUX and they look great.
For Halogen bulbs I found this to be the best: for low beams, the philips extreme vision +130% and for the high beams the Osram Rallye 65W. Both H7. And yes you are looking at 4 bulbs total, 2 of each kind. |

I really like my Philips Diamond Vision bulbs. They're bright white, not too much blue, and they light up the road well. Like others have said, the coating on the bulb blocks out the yellowness, which mathematically means less light, but in reality it looks pretty darn bright to me.
In this picture the left bulb is stock, the right is Philips. |
