Window Tint!

Hey guys, so I got my windows tinted on my e92, and the shop I went to in Lombard Illinois called Frankie's Window Tint the owner was pretty cool but a worker pissed me off (that did my car). First of all when you do a tint it isn't suppose to come out like this (check attachment) he was saying it's suppose to "dry" there's water in the bubble. HEY DUMB ASS the owner was working on another car and he had no bubbles. So I listened to the owner he's like if it stays like that come back again and will re do them. So I have to drive an hour and a half again for there mess up shaking my f***ing head. But other than that 20% looks awesome with the Beige Interior.

While there is a drying time for some small bubbles and other things, that looks worse than normal. Any particular reason you chose this place? Blackout in West Allis and Waukesha are supposed to be one of the best in SE Wisconsin. They did mine and while it did need to "dry" it looked perfect once it did and they proactively added vinyl at the top of the rear window to avoid the dot issue.

Yeah why drive down all the way down to Lombard to this place? (I've never heard of it)

For that long of a drive you should have went to Ztech or Umbra. Leave your car out in the sun for the next few days and see if it helps.

Some of my friends went there with there 335i and recommended them so why not I have them a try (I sways go to tint boyz in Milwaukee they do an awesome job)
The worker pissed me off to the point of just peeling the tint off and driving off now I'm going to ask for a partial refund when I go back down to get this shit fixed TERRIBLE WORKERS awesome owner well mannered and respected.

I left it out all weekend in the sun and on Sunday from 7am until 5pm at AutoX it was in the sun.

I hear the dot matrix effect happens on a lot of E9X cars that get the tint done. Most people do a strip of vinyl on that section because it's VERY hard to get the tint perfect on the dot matrix.

Do you put it over the window tint or before it?

+1 I just got my e92 tinted and the shop put a piece of black vinyl to cover the dot matrix. It actually looks pretty good and you really can't notice it if you just glance over. I rather have them do this than risk having the dot matrix problem.

They put a vinyl over the dot matrix and started the tint from there downwards.
