Tarmac Trek, Episode 2: The Lighterning

Captain's Log, stardate 20151015:

What had begun as a quick survey mission turned into a bit of a nightmare when we stumbled into a time-space anomaly, got teleported into a strange dimension where the air smelt of wet socks, encountered a massively powerful entity that we barely managed to escape, found our way into a wormhole named "Szklongu", popped out the other side with all our clothes on fire, bumped into a raiding party of enraged killing robot-fish hybrids, and upon finding shelter in a deserted asteroid belt realized we had left the key to the ship back on that purple planet with the fizzy ocean and the grey-green humanoïds who worshipped a small rock in the shape of an ice-cream cone. Still, we're back, we only lost two red shirts and we have enough material for an entire series, so all is well that ends well.

Captain's Log, stardate 20151016:

The mandatory review of the ship's security logs has turned out something quite interesting. While we were away, one of the maintenance robots stumbled upon the human-made car and, mistaking it for Starfleet OEM equipment, decided to upgrade it to conform to current regulations. Camera footage clearly shows the robot in question lovingly spraying the car with five coats of space-proof thermolitic magnetophased paint then buffing it to a shine. Clearly the most important task on the agenda, even though my personal shuttle is still docked pending repairs and a respray. Or five.

Captain's Log, stardate 20151017:

Despite a pretty damn thorough search I couldn't track down the Chief Maintenance Officer. I desperately need my shuttle to be operational for a critical diplomatic visit tomorrow, but for some bizarre reason the week's schedule is entirely dedicated to that stupid car. As I type this the maintenance robot is busy putting the car through the gyroscoptronic particle aligner. I mean, why? What's the rush? I am one orbit away from dismantling every damn robot on this ship.

Captain's Log, stardate 20151019:

As it turns out, the planned diplomatic visit was to a planet covered entirely in smooth tarmac, and the car made quite an impression on our hosts. The new interior lighting, installed to comply with Starfleet safety regulations, was a big hit, as was the top speed. Overall a great day out, the best in a long time.
It's a pity that it had to happen on the day that the Chief Maintenance Officer was planning to take a leave of absence and enjoy some carefree time on a friendly planet covered entirely in smooth tarmac and with no speed limitations in place. But it's not all bad, at least he'll be able to work on my shuttle.

Ha ha yes, not sure I'm that big of a fan, although I am very fond of the Trek stuff. Starships and aliens, can't go wrong.

It would actually be dead easy to make an illuminated version of the logo and put in behind the speaker grills in the doors, where I put the yin-yangish shapes. Not sure I can face the whole door disassembly just yet though, the bruises on my arms and hands are still fresh. But it would look cool.

Gotcha, almost never watch shows these days so I really wouldn't know.

I just picked the Trek theme to write up the stuff and make it a bit more entertaining than "I did this and here's the pics". I just hoped it would make a few readers smile.
