E92 Rebuild Project
hey guys i picked up a wrecked e92 335i plan is to make the car a reliable daily again this will be a slow process as i don't have the funds to go all out in it now but should be fun ! from the visual inspection i can the the front drivers side suspension will need to be repaired already quoting suspension components and the rear drivers side suspension will also need work body wise the drivers side quarter will be replaced door looks fine and fender might be salvageable will more than likely need the drivers side headlight and hood front bumper has some damage haven't really had the time to really look at it but might just pick up a front bumper and the rear bumper got a tear i know that can be fixed. love the color it has someone put money and love into this car before they they got into the accident i noticed it has bc br coilovers never had coilers in any of my cars so i don't know much about them. and one of the wheels is broken I've had a wheel with similar damage to this one repaired in the past but the last time i went for a damaged wheel they didn't want to repair anymore so I'm trying to contact someone south of the border who I've heard can fix it if not i will just buy another wheel. heres a little background of me I've dealt with salvage cars before and know what to expect the damage doesn't really scare me and I've seen cars way worse get fixed i deal with cars in a regular basis (work at a small dealer) so i know where to look for parts new or used pretty excited over all ! haven't started it looks like its leaking some oil so first thing i plan on doing in making it basically a roller and then asses the oil leak after that collect some parts and then send it to the guy i do body repairs with ! any input is appreciated whether its positive or negative ! don't really care maybe some of you have done things in the past and know where i could save some money or just things you think might look cool ! heres the pictures :

Hey guys ! thanks for the support ! hope we can all learn something from this ! really contemplating on a wide body but the only one I've seen that i wouldn't mind would be this one :
But everywhere i see it says E92 M3 so I'm assuming id need M3 fenders M3 quarters and i don't think the kit would sit flush against the 335i's body ... will keep looking still some time away from body work so i have time to keep searching and see what could be the best way to go about it ! hopefully a wide body happens if not now maybe in the future ! will keep you guys updated on any new work done to the car ! |

Do you have tips on that radiator support removal and replacement? Did you have to worry about airbag deployment? Does the front end stay together when you remove it?

i would disconnect the battery i didn't have to since the battery is dead but the front end stays together and it pulls straight out ! radiator condenser everything stayed in place didn't have to disconnect and radiator hoses or anything as far as bolts all i did was as soon as i took something off i put the screws back in the same place then transferred over all screws and clips onto the new Rad support and started assembling again so i wouldn't have to worry about loosing bolts or not remembering where they went all in all it took me maybe about 2 and a half hours and it was pretty easy nothing to bad ! if you run into something or have any more questions just ask ! |

i spent about 3 days at the local junkyards looking for it then found them new at umnitza and was about to pull the trigger then one of the guys i visited they are like big lots and all they sell are used bumpers, hoods, fenders etc. sent me a message with the guy who picked the hood up for me and i drove over and he had this bumper there he wanted 200 let it go for 160 i don't think its an oem piece but its basically new it'll need very minor body work but thats no biggie i could do it there at the house ! thanks man !
