Subwoofer Setup

After years of being a huge BMW fan I recently purchased a 2011 328i xDrive and am currently deciding how to upgrade my audio system. I have the hifi audio so I plan on getting a Bavsound stage one speaker upgrade but I need some advice on my subwoofer setup. I have 2 12 inch JL subwoofers that I used in my previous car and was considering reinstalling them or going with 2 bavsound ghost subwoofers instead. Installing the JL's would definitely be cheaper but I was wondering how complex the installation process is considering I would need to add a separate amp. If anyone has any knowledge about installing aftermarket subwoofers in the trunk of E90's that would be amazing!

Don't replace the speakers just yet. Best bang for your buck is Bimmertech amp/DSP. Then you can also add a trunk sub easily.

Yes, best option is Bimmertech DSP amp first. It'll raise the sound stage to the front of the dash. I just purchased the whole Stage one speakers, Ghost subs and now amp. Speaker upgrade was good. Mid bass was punchier and still better bass than stock. But now with the new amp. HUGE difference. Won't blow your socks off, but if its Sound Quality and Clarity. This is a great way to go. Plus it's all plug and play. I installled everything in about 2.5 hours Saved a lot of cash as they wanted $$$$$ to install.

As stated in post above. You can still add a sub amp easily as it has Low level outputs. So add amp with just RCA plugs to new amp.
