JB4 + MHD Pump Fuel BEF

I've been reading a whole lot of threads of people saying that when they have stacked JB4 with the MHD BEF (Pump Fuel) they are experiencing poor throttle response and the car feeling sluggish and slow. Im considering doing the Pump Flash via MHD and was wondering if anyone has experience with this?

I am on e85 blend right now with MHD flash only and throttle response is fine.

Prior to that I was pump 98 on stage 2 map on MHD then got some custom tuning done from Buraq and was happy with overall driveability and response etc

Everyone has their preference of running piggyback only, flash only or hybrid. Pros and Cons with both, but for me flash only is what I prefer

I had alot of playing around with this so ill give you my thoughts,
i wanted to get into running the Pump BEF with my JB4 so i loaded the US version through the MHD app. All was well but i noticed that the throttle mapping on the US flash was more linear and made it feel like there was poor throttle response. A few days later i also threw an error code (2A13 DMTL diagnoses module tank leakage, leakage diagnoses pump, input signal) i think.

I did some research and found on the other forum a guide on how to convert the US file into a EURO/AUS file. After learning how to use Tunerpro i converted my bin file and loaded up the new Pump flash.

I haven't had any issues since and in the guide there is a step that allows you to keep the stock throttle mapping from your stock flash. This is something i did as i wanted to keep the feel of the stock throttle.

PM me if you want and i can send you the link as i dont want to get kicked for posting other forum links on here

I can also send you my file which is the latest modified pump BEF if you want.

Won't be aby use to you Socks. It's a pump flash suited for stock turbos. You run E85 and Pures. Get yourself a Treblia flash for E85 and pump

i see. Thanks anyway Peli
Got the E85 flash but need a 98 flash as E85 not always easy to get especially outside Melb. Flashing back to the OTS MHD 98 map doesn't seem to work

This is a link to my latest Euro BEF Pump flash bin file, like i said it works on my car and i have not had any issues with it but please use at your own risk. Just load it the same way you would the other flash files from the US, remember jb4 set to map 0 and battery charger when you flash cause it will take a while.

Thanks so much! How exactly do you load it? Do you have to open it in MHD and then load it through there?

Yeah copy the file to your android device then when you have MHD hooked up go to flash a back end option and search for were you saved the file then load.

I would suggest before loading any back end flashes to read as much info as you can on how the JB4 and MHD both work, if you run into any issues you know how to fix them.

Sweet.

Which base PUMP bin did you use?

I believe there's now 2 versions, one normal and one with an altered knock map data...

EDIT: nevermind, looks like they removed the altered knock map data bins from the list...

With your Euro BEF, is it more equivalent to to the Stage 1 or Stage 2 BEF that the MHD App offers? I have a FMIC and DP's, just curious as to how aggressive your Euro BEF is?
