335XI urethane transmission/transfer case mount
I figured I'll give Energy Suspension liquid urethane a try. I made 2 mounts so if anyone is interested send me a message and we'll see what we can work out.
I used the 80A formula. 80A - Even trade off between performance and vibration when it comes to motor mount inserts. This formula is the most popular for it's ability to significantly increase vehicle performance while still allowing some small amount of flex in the mounts to keep vibration and noise to reasonable levels Here are some quick pictures. I think this might be a good low cost solution. How does the modified mount feel under power and just driving around as far as NVH? I was pretty amazed when I first got under my car and saw a) just one mount, and b) how flimsy it was.

I'll have to get back to you with results. I'm in the process of replacing my transmission so I figured I'll do the mount while it's out.

Agreed. I'm thinking my t-case mount is failing too. I hear and feel clunking directly beneath the middle of the car when I shift forward to reverse. Maybe I'll try OP's idea.

Thanks for posting results. Im going to attempt this but using window weld. After curing window weld sets up to about 60a hardness aka solid rubber mount hardness. It still allows for some flex and vibration absorption. This liquid urethane might be good on some suspension bushings though.

Hey guys,
So I just did my clutch install over the weekend and used this time to install my new trans mount. Honestly It feels great. Shifting is now super tight and feels more precise. There is some slight added NVH but I am unsure if that is the mount or the new SMFW or a combination of both. To me the NVH isnt bad...it give you more of a feeling about what is happening with the car. |

Yes but I wouldnt. Mine was already cracking and starting to fail at 90k miles. No thanks. A new mount is like $30 or something affordable. You also have to wait AT LEAST 2 day for it to cure. Mine is a DD and I cant have it down that long.
