Code 4a2e - cylinder 5 glow plug control

This code has popped up twice over the past two weeks.

Am I looking at replacing the controller or the actual glow plug? Hoping just the controller as it may be possible without pulling the intake. Thoughts?

I have always see the controller fail before a plug. You will have to remove the intake manifold for either of the two parts (plug or controller).

It should be easy to test the plug itself for a proper resistance. I do not know the actual value though. Accessing it is another issue. I thought manifold removal is ideal.
