Misfire on all of bank 1...COBB?

Hey guys... So ive been to two different shops and they cant figure out why my car is acting the way it is. I'm on COBB Stg.1 Sport LT. I've already replaced coils and plugs.

As soon as I turn on my car for the first time in the morning it starts shaking/misfiring within 10 seconds. If I keep the RPM's around 2.5k it wont misfire but as soon as it idles it will start misfiring so bad that all of the lights go dim, almost like its going to stall out. After i turn the car on/off 4 or 5 times its completely fine!! Pulls hard and drives good, every once and awhile you will get a very slight hiccup. It WILL not misfire or anything until the next day I need to turn it on...

Throwing codes for
-misfire on 1,2,3 cyl
P3026
P2CAA
P2C3D
P2CA6

2009 135i 54k miles
Will post datalog when I can. Any help would be seriously much appreciated

Did you car somewhat hesitate under load SOME times? Everything said above started happening when I did a pull and my car stopped gaining RPM even though I was WOT. It started misfiring immediately after that and I had to pull to the side of the highway and restart my car. Misfire was so bad I couldn't maintain freeway speeds.

lol yea it did, I drove like that for months, babying it, and then it got to the point when it started going into hard limp modes, to where half the power was cut, and it would idle like hell, actually to the point to where it was barely driveable... and misfires randomly on different cylinders as time went on and not fixed. id venture and say they have never been cleaned before, wouldn't be a bad investment to replace them anyhow... 54k you say... I would, mine went at 60k

these solenoids aren't like a 100% failure on point, they slowly but surely die...and is often overlooked cause a vanos code isn't being produced ...

Thats the thing they drive fine when they work. Almost makes me think it's the COBB tune. Car was JB4, COBB, Meth, and FBO for awhile. Maybe if i just air spray them off... but I dont think i could drive my car for much longer, the misfire is so bad that it almost stalls out.

Log Lambda bank 1 and Lambda bank 2 . After you let off the throttle both banks should show 235 injectors closed.
If bank 1 is showing different from bank 2, say 135.5 and bank 2 is showing 235, then the injector is leaking and you'll need to replace the bank. I had the same issue with rough start ups in the morning and the whole nine and it ended up being leaky injectors in bank 1 and 2 mine were index 9. new vanos solenoids installed 2 month prior with fresh oil and spark plugs and coils didnt stop till injectors were swapped out

I am going to do some preemptive maintenance and buy new injectors, im at 101k, 65k of that tuned.. im just going to go and perform the inevitable.

That stall out part is pretty bad, almost pushes me towards the solenoids. It should be something you can consistently replicate. With the misfire on that many cylinders with new plugs and coils, im sticking to my script lol. if that doesn't fix it, move along to injectors I suppose...

OP are you going to dealerships or bmw specific Indy shops??

I go to school in Oklahoma so theres not much choice in shops. I go to an indy BMW shop and even with it replicated they couldn't figure it out using the AutoLogic tool.

Do as stated above...

Get up to about 50 MPH in 5th gear, and take your foot of the gas, and let the car coast to a stop.

Log lambda 1 & 2.

Lambda should hit and stay at 235 injectors are "off/shut"

If at any point during the decel, lambda on either banks starts to bounce / vary, it means your injectors could potentially be leaking on that specific bank.

Seeing that you are getting cyl misfire on 1-3, I imagine your lambda bank 1, Will be all over the place.

For reference- I had very similar symptoms as you- bank 2 stayed pegged at 235, my bank 1 was at 40-50.

Could also see if your stft are close. Mine were way off base too from 1&2
