Muffler Delete Mod
So.
I think I might be modding my muffler delete. Instead of using a straight through pipe and tips, I am going to try this. In between my straight pipe, I am going to make it 3 sections with the small little rectangle one in the middle. I want to see if the car sounds any different or quieter. What do you muffler delete guys think? |

It might quiet the car down and change the tone of it, minimizing the drone.

hmm i never really understood the whole "muffler delete" craze but why not just buy a exhaust so you can have best of both world loud/but not to loud....but i guess this is cheaper in a way. anyway post some vids if you get this done it would be interesting to see how it sounds.

If you have to get a muffler, Magnaflow sounds horrible on anything. At least try Flowmaster or something else. Just my $.02 but I've heard alot of comparrisons and Magnaflow just doesn't sound good.

I could buy an Ikon or a Remus, but I'm not quite willing to dish out the money yet. So I am going to experiment. |

I don't know without hearing first hand on a BMW, but every truck I've heard with Magnaflow, I just hate the sound. The BMW sounds good but very quiet. Maybe because of the wind noise?

Plus, no matter which exhaust you get you sorta still have the same sound. To me a lot of the exhausts sound very similar for the e90. |

inmho all aftermarket systems sound mean. it's just a matter of taste.
do you like the high winding sound of lets say an f1 car do you like the mean grumble of a gas thirsty v8, more nascar-ish? there's several helpful threads that show all the systems and what they sound like in this sub forum... GOOD LUCK! |

I don't have it, I'd probably on a scale from 1-10 I have about 2.
With music on, I can't even hear the exhaust. I was thinking of making it more comfortable for people in the back of the car. Scheer bro, don't take it the wrong way, I'm not putting down muffler delete at all. I'm just experimenting. |
