N54 Code 29DC Cylinder injection switch off

Hi all, need some help or feedback. I have a 2007 335 and its being giving me some issues. I keep getting code 29DC which is the cylinder injection switch off under WOT on both Map 2 and Map 5. I originally thought it was because my DP fix was turned on. So I turned the DP fix off and did a few pulls. The first couple pulls it was fine but then eventually threw the same code 29DC again. I cannot for the life of me figure out what the hell the problem is. Of course I cannot capture this happening in a log but this happens pretty regularly. And is becoming extremely frustrating. I am not sure what the cause of it is hoping to get some feedback from some of you. I also heard that it could be my HPFP on its way out. Just wanted to see if any of you have had any similar issues like this. All help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

There has been many thread discussions on this error code in the N54 Turbo Engine / Drivetrain / Exhaust Modifications - 335i section. Just search by the code. Hopefully you will find more information to help diagnose it.

Thanks!

I have ordered a new HPFP (P/N: 13517616170) and plan to have it fitted this weekend.

Fingers crossed it resolves the problem.

ima keep it a houndred with you the hpfp resolved 95% of my issues : no more long cranks, the car feels faster, but the lpfp can also cause this and i dont know if its coincidence but now i veryvery rarely, i still get the code and its def my lpfp but nowhere near the anount of times i was getting it before replacing my hpfp, before that every pull did it.

For example this whole week i was beating on it and i got no code but once in a rare while esp when i put e85 i do get it.... but honestly a new hpfp is the right place to start esp if your getting long cranks which it appears you are and if your situation becomes like mine its time for the stage 2 fuel it lpfp

o and just curious did u buy your hpfp from ebay like me there a genuine one for a great great price

Thanks for the info!

I live in the UK so its just 99 octane Shell V-Power for my cars, no e85 .

I did get mine off eBay, P/N 13517616170 brand new and genuine BMW with 3 year warranty somehow!

I got that for £280 ($366).

They were asking for £320 but I made an offer and they accepted, must be left over stock or something I don't know.

I just saw 3 year warranty and wanted it lol!

Just as an update for anyone who stumbles across this thread. A new HPFP also solved my issues.

I have replaced my hpfp TWICE already and am still having the same problems. Mine is an 09 535 xdrive. I can’t afford another $1000 pump at the moment and I don’t know what else to do. Can anyone offer me some advice?

I don’t have any of the long cranks or anything like that. Just a miss that appears to jump from cylinder to cylinder. SOMEONE please help me.
