Hi there,

When I bought my car last year I did what many people here wouldn't - I took it without evidence of its service history. I justified that decision because of the car's age (2013/13 plate), low mileage (~24,000 miles) and the overall good deal that I was getting on it.

The car has been a dream so I don't regret that decision. However it turns out I may be selling it for other reasons and so I am now trying to hunt down the service history and, if possible, piece together a full set of service stamps retrospectively.

Thanks to a steer from BMW, I located a main dealer where the car had two services in 2015. These are the only two service visits (prior to me buying it) that BMW have recorded on their system.

So that means my service history now looks like:

-March 2013 - Car left the factory
-March 2015 - Service
-August 2015 - Service
-April 2016 - I bought the car
-Feb 2017 - Service

Obviously I'm happy with the period after I bought the car in April 2016, but is there any way of knowing whether there are any gaps before then - i.e. between March 2013 and March 2015? Would it be normal for this car's first service to be after 2 year (bearing in mind the low mileage), or is it likely that it would've gone in for something earlier than that?

Any and all help appreciated!

most new owners would have followed the CBS, so perhaps the low mileage meant that there were no prompts?

Thanks both, I'm hoping that's the case.
Is there any way of finding out in the CBS or idrive when the prompts were given/services became due, just so I can at least see if there are any gaps?
