Car jerks at the end of stop
I am new to e90post, but I know there are probably about a million posts on this.
My 2006 BMW 330i jerks when it comes to a complete stop. I noticed a few things about its behavior, though. When slamming on the brakes (yellow light, roadkill, etc) the car will stop completely and sort of "lag" the jerk about a second later. It feels like the car behind me rear ended me slightly. I don't know a lot about cars, so I don't know if this is bad on it, but when slamming the brakes or braking normally I usually put it in neutral and there will be no jerking at all. My car is an automatic, and I am thinking that it has something to do with the transmission. I also noticed when putting it into sports mode that the jerk is sometimes not there and feels lighter on the car. I am thinking that there is something wrong between first and second gear. When using semiauto, there is a really big laggy jerk when shifting to second. Would changing the transmission oil do anything? The car has 147,000 miles on it, and many people have told me not to since it has a lot of mileage. Wondering what could be the cause of this. Thanks. |

Our E90 was doing that. Changing the solenoids in the transmission fixed the issue.
