What kind of sputter was it and what were the conditions in which it happened? I experienced a big misfire in 2nd gear rolling into full throttle while merging last week. Car threw a CEL and was misfiring BAD. Read the codes and it was cylinder 2, 3, and 6. Restarted the car and it ran fine. Did a few more pulls since and everything has been normal. I assumed at the moment that it was a bit of bad gas, but I am curious if it could've just been a drop in fuel pressure now.

I used to get those codes pretty consistently, but they haven't been back for a couple of months.
However, this morning when I went to start my car for the first time, it had a longer than ever crank and showed those two codes when I scanned it. I always give the pump a few seconds to prime after turning the ignition too so I'm not sure what causes it. I'm considering putting a fuel-it stage 2 LPFP in and seeing if anything changes. |

Does your car pull stronger than before? Especially above 70mph?

Well, I guess this is good and bad news. Good news being we have a pretty solid solution to they symptoms everyone is having. Bad news being replacing the fuel pump.

My guess is BMW only intended shadow codes to be there for investigations/debugging involving their head office and not regular diagnostics at workshops. |

Well. the god damn code has some back. WTF. took 1 week to the day !
I'm wondering now if it's possible my LPFP is going bad causing low pressure to the HPFP,? anyone know if this is possible? n55 doesn't have the lpfp sensor :S |

Are you still getting hpfp pressure dips or timing corrections or anything? |

I feel that the lpfp would have to keep a steady PSI to the HPFP for the hpfp to run efficiently. which could cause corrections...no ? I'm going to do a compression test later to test compression |

I already ordered a HPFP and it's on the way. Should I return it?

Anyone out there who's run MHD OTS map for months without 2BDE code?
