034 Engine Mounts
Installed these in early April during spring break. So, they might have 3600 miles on them max.
DO NOT BUY..... |

If you look at the N54 motor mount thread I posted a video of mine. In less than 5km (yes 5km not 5K km) mine were loose and broken.
Im guess they just cant get that lower cover to seat or fit properly compared to BMW. Either go OEM, 335is($$), Turner/other poly mounts or solid for full race car. I went with Turner. |

I put in Rogue Engineering trans mounts. How do you like the turner motor sports ? There want really a whole lot of reviews on them, but I know TMS doesn't make sh@t either. |

I have Turner 60a mounts with e46 M3 ones for the trans.
The shifts and feel are way better. I like a little more raw feel so I prefer a little more vibration vs the numbness. Just The idle is a touch rough for a daily (I have a full poly/solid turbo miata for the track stuff). Ill likely get the idle raised up to 750/800rpm and should get rid of it. |

Going to replace my 034 with AKG 95a mounts and the twisted tuning transfer case mount. Hello NVH!

It'll see some track use but it's also my daily. I used to have solid mounts in my last car though so I'm already pretty used to the NVH, just didn't expect to go this far with the 335 as well.

edit: I wanted the IS mounts for the oem+ feel but damn at over $1000 each where I am not a chance. Now I expect the harder/solid mounts to be the same as described. I had a turbo saab and tried out some stiff as s**t mounts. bad idea. Unless you're jamming the shift knob or clutch it was just unpleasant to drive. |

I've had mine in for around 1000km now. the vibes have dropped a bit or maybe I'm just used to them more now. At idle with A/C its a little unbearable but I still plan to up the idle because daily driver.
I used some heat reflective tape on the passenger side near the downpipes. Its a little extra time and it really cant hurt anything, so its just a piece of mind. They do come with a ceramic spacer on the top so engine heat doesn't get transferred from the engine mounting bracket but that doesn't do anything with heat from the DPs. |

I might pull the car up on ramps this weekend and then pull the power steering rack to gain access to the other side and see about putting some sort of heat tape or cover that the stock heat shield doesn't cover. I agree about NVH being lessened over time. I have only 125-40 miles on them, and I think they are starting to break in. I don't feel as much NVH. |

I put some heat tape on the actual turner mount (top and sides). Just the side where the downpipe passes by. Doing the whole thing would be pretty pointless. also you have to do brand name/good quality heat tape. The good stuff reflects close to 97% for gold/96% for silver and like 87% for aluminum whereas even the cheap ebay gold stuff reflects 35%. I have also read that most gold reflective tape is aluminum tape with a gold dye. Do some research into the product that you intend to buy although any of it will be better than just bare. |
