Bimmerlabs flash and bms powebox together?

Hey guys just wondering if anyone runs the bimmerlabs free software alongside the bms powerbox? Btw this is for an n52 (07 328i e90).

For me, I feel like the bimmerlabs tune didn't really make any difference whatsoever. I ran the regular 328-330 flash for a while, and recently switched to the euro one that deletes the MAF and still no difference.

Can the powerbox have anything to do with this? I've been advised to remove it if running the bimmerlabs tunes but no one could give me a reason why, other than "because that thing sucks". So I left it in, I personally like the powerbox for what it is. Thanks!

Did you install a 3 stage intake manifold?

the BMS powerbox is completely pointless. I would remove it. Anything it changes will be adapted out anyway, and it messes with the fueling without having enough inputs to do it well.

As far as not feeling a difference, possibly your DISA valves are not working properly.

Have you cleared adaptations already?

Did you pre-test the DISAs before you installed?

Exactly like I stated before. No one has any factual information as to why the pbx is pointless. For me it makes a huge difference between map 0 and map 3.

I did not pre test the disas before I installed the manifold but I hand tested them and they didn't move. They were nice and tight. Also yes I have cleared all adaptations multiple times since everything's been installed

actually, there is - I posted about it ages ago. It has something like 5 pins, 2 of which are power/ground. It just doesn't have enough inputs or outputs to actually change anything except WOT fuel and throttle senstivity - it doesn't even have an RPM input.

hand testing that the DISAs are tight doesn't mean they are fully functional. The pair I had salvaged was tight in the open position as you said. But once hooked up, they were slow to react and never fully actuated. My large DISA would open quickly but it never made it closed anytime soon.
