NCSexpert coapi-2021 and ifh-0010
I've received the bimmergeeks cable in the mail, so I decided to see what version my CIC is through NCSexpert, so here's what I have set up:
Windows XP SP3 running in Virtualbox I followed the BMW Standard tools 2.12 PDF Set the COM to 1 and the latency to 1 and unchecked the serial enumerator What else is there to do? Every time I try NCSexpert I get COAPI-2021 and IFH-0010, and the thing is INPA shows cable found and ignition on, but when it actually tries to do something with the car I get a similar IFH- error. I don't have JB4 so I don't think that would cause it, I was going to install the tools and everything right onto the Windows 10 but I heard you can't code if you do that.. what gives |

Hmm, I'm out of suggestions I'm afraid. Have you tried on another vehicle?
If you are 100% sure you've installed it all correctly, ruled out the car obd port, then that leaves the cable itself. I'd suggest that's unlikely however. Those cables are normally very good and tested. |

I used to have an F32, I have an E92 now. Anywho, seeing as carly can go through coding fine, I suspected the cable was defective, so they let me send it back and they're sending me another cable, now to play the waiting game and see if this next cable works. It's not that urgent right now since I'm still waiting on my FAKRA cables to come from rfsupplier for the combox retrofit.

I somehow got a new cable delivered today yet mine arrives back to them today, that was quick, i'm happy about that. Since it's freezing cold outside right now I quickly tested the cable with MHD and XHP, they seem to communicate with the car perfectly fine, something the old cable didn't do, so I have a good feeling that coding should work 100% now. I'll find out when I have to code to hifi or code the combox retrofit (whichever comes first, but alpine hifi kit is getting delivered today
