Which SCCA class for 335i Dinan Stage 1?
I'm getting magnetic letters made for my 335 which I autocross. Since the I last time I raced (in FS class), I installed the Dinan Stage 1 ECU reflash to add a few pounds boost. Otherwise the car is completely stock (including run flat tires). I saw previous posts about boost changes involving reclassification to BSP class, but does that apply if there are no hardware changes involved? Would it be FSP in this case? Thanks.

It would be BSP most likely. You can run BSP-T2 if you're staying on street tires. It won't be FSP though. Check to see if you can run in STU / STX, I haven't looked into it much personally.

I was classed incorrectly the first go round into FS, came to find out because of my tune and tires only it belongs in BSP....I have been running BSP since.
I had piggy (took it out) and wider tires/larger wheels.....just because of the tires/wheels I am still classed in BSP. good luck out there! |

If you are trying to win I think you'll have better luck in FS with R compound tires.
The prepared and modified classes are rough. it becomes much more of a $$ game |

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I'm not concerned about points -- I'd just like to make good times and improve my driving. I'll be sure to get BSP letters. Appreciate all the advice. I'll be sure to have fun!
