New (short) shiftknob

A picture of a brand new (short) shifter (see accessory brochure 2006)

go it today for my 130i, but the same part is available for the E90/E91 too. (for all cars only available in 6-gear version)

part matches nice to the real -alloy trim.

E90/E91 LHD Parts No. 25 11 0 404 454
E87 LHD Parts No. 25 11 0 412 092

Attention:

- both E87- and E91 RHD have other parts numbers

Is it weighted? How much shorter is it than the stock 330 one? I definately want a shorter one that matches, but it just doesn't look as short I as I want.

Looks good, way better than the M-version IMO. Any ideas of the pricing?

They cost here about € 109 incl 19% VAT

OT: Today I saw the M-Steering wheel again. IMO it looks a bit cheapo as the leather is not applied very nicely. (but it definitely has the better grip as my standard Sport steeringwheel)

i'm assuming that its just replacing the longer stick and not actually a short shift kit right?

right, it is the gearknob with the leather centre-consolepart only.

3cm? Wow that is not very much! Is it very noticable to you? I was wanting at least an inch off of mine. The stock one is freaking long.

1 inch = 2.54cm, so 3cm is a bit more than 1 inch shorter than stock.

Shifter looks great, by the way, especially with the aluminum trim.

Well, Im debating what I should do...

Ive been thinking SSK and back to the original knob, or some other solution. I really do like the feel of the stock knob, but love the reduced heigh and weight of the msport... Im still up in the air...

I ordered the leather version of that shift knob last week.

It's coming from Germany. Should be here by month end.

No, I spent 15K on mods for the teg over 4 years, and I told myself I'm not modifying the german baby....

I'm pondering buying an eclipse to build as a speed deamon....
