Quiet and strange sounding BOV

After getting my new VRSF and Tial BOV installed, I was surprised that I could barely hear it. I mean it's really quiet. To the point that my Audi's were louder, and those ran DV's which are quiet to begin with. And when when it vents, it makes this 2 part sound. I don't know if it's fluttering because it doesn't totally sound like that but it's definitely not a "whoosh". It should be noted that I have a 2011 335is with no tune, but DPs and intake. So I'm not sure if the "S" model has higher boost then the normal models but I still would think that it should be louder then it is. Definitely doesn't sound anything like the vids I watched on YT. My mechanic connected the vacuum tube that was supplied by VRSF to the pipe that the DVs were connected to originally.

First off, my understanding is that Tial BOV's are on the quiet side. Running at stock boost levels of ~8 psi is also going to contribute to a lower volume. I also wonder if you're getting enough vacuum to the BOV. Many have reported that they needed to install a larger diameter fitting into their manifold and run a bigger vacuum hose to get the proper response. I'm running a fake Tial Q 50mm and while it's not loud, you can definitely hear it. I ran a dedicated vacuum line for it and it only makes a singular woosh sound.

Yeah, that would accomplish the same thing, but for $70? I guess I'm too cheap for those kinds of solutions.

I just don't want to make any permanent modifications to the vacuum system. I would rather use an adapter then cut off a piece and glue on another \(o__O)/
