Global vs 3M Ceramic
Hey all,
So I got a quote for tinting from a couple of different shops. The first shop I got a quote from was for 3M Ceramic with 99% UV, 80% IR rejection and was $750. The second was for Global Ceramic with roughly the same specs, and was quoted $450. Third was 3M Ceramic, but $400. Anybody have any thoughts on either brand or the pricing? |

For tint and PPF, installer experience is more critical than film IMO. Most ceramic films will perform very well with IR/heat rejection.
I have one vehicle with LLumar FormulaOne (ceramic) - installation was pretty good, but you can see a couple dust specs - it is not completely clean but it is within normal limits. On my other vehicles, I have LLumar Stratos (ceramic) - higher IR/heat rejection than FormulaOne but a couple percentages depending on the shade. Installer for these vehicles was much better with fewer dust specks than my other vehicle, and less soapy/milky film finish after install. Pricing on these were $500 for FormulaOne and $600 for Stratos with tax included. Both include lifetime warranty. |
