Racechip update

So finally got back my racechip after sending it back again- and i have to say this thing is much better than before. Unfortunately Map 7 Still doesn't work and throttle closes. But map 6 is feeling great. Here is a 60-130 in map 6 , along with a quarter mile in hot weather. Does anybody know any mods i can do to this to bring it into the 7's? I hear downpipes no tune add 20 wheel, might get it there. Would appreciate the input guys.

100-200 is 7.01 seconds, and i can fill e20 without a tune or anything? How does that work- also no it's from racechip directly

126.60 shows map 6 is making good regular pump gas power. You really cant get much more out of RC- is the basic plug and play bump on power vs JB where you can mess with other stuff like fuels and hardware.

A G80 running around 127 with RC is pretty solid.

How about downpipes ? I've seen many companies claim 20whp without a tune, with that amount surely it'll be in the 7.9-8.0 range

You can gain power for sure there but I didnt mention it because RC can not clear the CEL. You need a full ECU tune for that.

Maybe. I think those guys ran the stock map. Hard to say with the gootch booster what is gonna happen. Also, it looks like anything more than map 6, with 91 octane adjustment your car shits the bed. I would wait for the tune to come out and redo your spark plugs and downpipes and get a stage 2. Its gonna blow your tits off

+1

you will make more power with downpipes, but in your case i recommend the active autowerke DP to avoid the CEL

Hey Mike, I've heard stories of catted DP's are sketchy on turbo cars. They don't hold up to the heat and could break up? I have only run catless on all my vehicles. What's your thoughts?

I'm not Mike but I had a catted Fabspeed DP on my F87 and never had any issues. It spent a lot of time in the desert and at altitude and it looked just about brand new when I sold it a few weeks ago to another N55 M2 owner. I went catted so I didn't have to deal with the CEL all the time.

That 127 trap is excellent. The C8 and 992 Carrera S are 123-124.

I wouldn't hold on to that statement.
I have tested and dyno catless downpipe on S58 with no tune.
Number is otherwise.
I only read and heard that it does with flashtune, but e20 or e30 flashtune.
It never a fair before and after with the same gas.
